Vom 4. Juni 2018 bis 10. Dezember 2018 wird die U55 eingestellt. Der Grund sind die fortschreitenden Baumaßnahmen zur Durchbindung mit der U5.
Am 31. Mai 2018 zeigte die BVG der Presse die Tunnel und die provisorische Werkstatt am Hauptbahnhof.
